Nigeria - Expression of Interest for Consultants
VSO is the world's leading independent international

VSO
Nigeria’s core areas of programming in Nigeria includes; Education, Secure
Livelihoods
and Youth participation in governance. Our approach is a long term
commitment to capacity development; transferring core necessary skills to
partners to enable them deliver more qualitative and impactful services and programmes
in our project communities. Our operation in Nigeria takes place within four
clusters: The North West, South West, South South, and North Central Clusters.
VSO is
seeking expressions of interest from two suitable qualified dynamic,
proactive and result-oriented consultants to undertake separate consultancies for the organisation;
1. National
volunteering – The consultant is expected to conduct the mapping and
context analysis of the practice and process of National Volunteering in
Nigeria; including an understanding of the policy framework and structure for
national volunteering processes. The recommendation from this research is aimed
at supporting VSO to develop and roll out its national professional
volunteering programme. The duration for this consultancy is 10 working days.
2. Gender
– The consultant is expected to complete work on VSO Gender strategy, conduct
four different one to one meetings and a half day Gender mainstreaming
trainings for partners, volunteers and staff during a series of four Cluster
level meetings in the first quarter of 2014. The consultant is also expected to
conduct a gender audit with VSO programme partners and office to promote and
ensure gender is integrated in every aspect of its programming work. The
duration for this consultancy is 21 working days.

application must indicate which of the consultancies the applicant is
