candidates will be supported by the fellowship program.
The Priorities of the Program are:

- Human capital dimensions of entrepreneurship
- Economic growth
- Entrepreneurship policy
- Programmatic research
The fellows will
receive total $15,000 in two installments. The cash will be utilized towards
student’s dissertation including data collection and analysis, travel, and
course buyouts along with the purchase of databases or specialized
hardware/software.
Criteria for Eligibility
- PhD, DBA, or other students seeking doctoral degrees from accredited U.S. institutions of higher education are eligible to apply.
- Students who are in the process of formulating their dissertation proposal as well as doctoral candidates with recently approved dissertation proposals are the ideal applicants.
- Proposed research must address issues of theoretical and practical importance to the domain of entrepreneurship.
Kauffman
Foundation employees and family members of Kauffman Foundation employees are
not eligible to apply for this program.
The
selected dissertation proposals must be approved by the applicant’s dissertation
committee before the disbursement of any funds under KDFP.
Application
materials include – proposal cover sheet, signed statement of approval of the
dissertation proposal from the supervising professor; abstract (100 words of
fewer) along with research proposal.
