The
Association of South African Women in Science and Technology (SAWISE) is awarding
2 different scholarships, ONLY for black females from sub-Sahara Africa and ONLY for 4th
year [e.g. BSc (Honours) or equivalent] of study at tertiary level.
1. SAWISE Angus Scholarship
2. SAWISE Hope Scholarship
Eligibility
for Angus Scholarship
- A sub-Saharan black female.
- Must have achieved 70% or above grade average in her subject of study.
- Only for studies at Honours level (or 4th year equivalent e.g. in engineering).
- In any field of science and engineering.
Applications
for these scholarships must include copies of the following:
- Curriculum vitae.
- An official academic transcript (record).
- A letter of motivation (~350 words).
- A certified copy of your ID.
- A completed online application form.

Eligibility
criteria for SAWISE Hope Scholarship include:
- A South African female student.
- Must have achieved an academic average of over 65%.
- Only for studies at Honours level (or 4th year equivalent e.g. in engineering).
- In any field of science and engineering. Medical fields are also included.
- Candidates must exhibit outstanding personal qualities and a strong desire to make a contribution to their respective fields and to society at large.
- Candidate must indicate financial need.
- Must be studying at one of following institutions: University of Cape Town, University of Johannesburg, University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Pretoria, University of Stellenbosch, University of the Witwatersrand, and University of the Western Cape.
Applications
for these scholarships must include copies of the following:
- Curriculum vitae.
- An official academic transcript (record).
- A letter of motivation (~350 words).
- A certified copy of your ID.
Deadline for application is 15th of
November.

I am a South African citizen and currently studying at University of Limpopo doing my third level and i have interest in pursuing my studies abroad.So as my university is not recognized does that mean am gonna to forfeit the opportunity to get these scholarship?
