CEO Phil Hagerman calls the Fellowship program “an inspirational hands-on
opportunity for college students who want to change the world and have a
transformational impact on the lives of others.”
It’s
more than a summer program. It’s a life-changer, and a calling.
The
Fellowship is a structured program that includes cohort meetings and seminars,
a mid-project evaluation, and a final project presentation at the end of the
summer. It is an extra-curricular program for which Fellows do not gain course
credit. However, a certificate of achievement will be provided, as well as
access to project funding opportunities.
Eligibility
A
candidate must be a graduate student, an undergraduate student or a recent
collect graduate (within six months of beginning the Fellowship). Students who
apply for the Fellowship must have a specific social impact area of interest
they are passionate about commencing.
Your
vision can range from small-scale social challenges to global needs. You may
also work on an “intrapreneurial” project—an entrepreneurial project within an
existing organization or company. We do not restrict our applicants; we
encourage you to follow your passion in creating social impact solutions.
The
successful candidate will be a positive team player with the moral imagination
to effect long-term social change, with excellent thought leadership, writing,
research, communication and presentation skills.
Candidates
must complete an online application with a resume, a project proposal, and two
letters of recommendation. The project proposal should be a three- to five-page
research paper demonstrating the following:
- The specific program area you’re most interested in working with
- A statement of your research interests
- Why you’re passionate about the area
- The need for the innovation
- The description of the project
- A list of any additional funding or necessary resources that may be needed

The
